Event handlers in Event Driven programing?

just wanted 2 know few examples of event handlers for Event Driven Programing with an example of e commerce website.

Event driven programming is, as it sounds programming to handle an event.

In an e-commerce website that event could be clicking a button to add the item to the shopping cart or clicking the Pay Now button to run through the programming part of taking payment, reserving stock, producing paperwork for the staff to get things down off the shelf, sending out a confirmation email and so on and so on.

In a non e-commerce situation, it could be as simple as a button to change the background colour of a page or a timer that when it passes midnight or goes to a specific date displays something on the screen. There is a legendary event in Football Manager series that on April 1st your club gets taken over by a multimillionaire and you get a £500M war chest to boost the squad.
