Affiliate Marketing - Second Income Possibility
Most people would love to have a second income to help pay for ever increasing cost of living, increase cost of holidays, basically in his financial climate the increase cost of everything.
I can tell you there is a way, it is called Affiliate Marketing. Affiliate Marketing is a system where the aim is to promote a product not your own. By this I mean there are tens of thousands of products on the market which you can choose to represent and promote.
You are going to need a web site, hosting of your web site, a domain name and you are going to need to write about ten articles and content for your web site.
Most of this you can find for free except the writing bit, you have to do that, for now!
Basically you would choose a product, its usually best to promote something that you are familliar with or are involved in like sports equipment or pet products even baby products or anything you have used and recommend.
Once you have chosen a product you will need to research all the pros and cons and weather you believe in it enough to promote. Your research will require you to investigate keywords to use to help promote your product and for both your articles and your web
site content. These keywords should not be too broad, by that I mean try to find less competitive keywords. Using Google's keyword tool you can drill down your chosen keywords to find keyword phrases not quite so searched for.
Odd you might think as you wish to attract as much traffic to your site as possible, but if you go for the more competitive keywords you will be in competition with hundreds if not thousands of web sites all vying for the same traffic. So test your keyword phrase in quotes in Google search or other search engines and if you can find phrases that give you a search volume of five thousand or less, Bingo, that's your phrase. Expand on it and use it in your domain name, your article titles and in your articles also in your web site content.
Now you are ready to write your articles and the content for your website. You should ideally write about ten articles for your initial campaign. This should ensure visitors to your website provided your content is interesting and of good quality and provides answers to peoples problems.
Once written you will submit your articles to article directories, these directories will produce your articles to the public and you are allowed to put links to your web site below your articles. You should start to get traffic to your site within a few days of your articles going live. You should submit your articles to sites such as Ezine Articles, Go Articles, Article Base and Squidoo.com, to name just a few, there are many more so more research is required.
To support this campaign you should visit forums associated with your product topic, look to get involved with discussions and debates. Be sociable and honest , give quality and relevant advice and you will be able to include your web site url . Another method of support is to use social bookmarking (research) but again quality and relevance is a must. Also you should visit a site called Ping.com and other similar sites to what we call Ping your site. This also lets other people know you exist and can help with traffic.
On your web site you will have used keywords in your title and your content; this will help your ratings with Google and the other search engines like Yahoo and MSN.Your purpose is to presell your product to your site visitors and guide them to your merchant's web site where the merchant will take over from you and hopefully make a sale. If successful you will receive a commission, do this often and you will see small commissions grow into incomes.
If you are successful repeat as many times as you can cope with and even go on to other products.
