How can I impress 2 owners of a clothing company with new online marketing ideas?
It's all about leads, leads and more leads.
(1) Tell business owners to create a squeeze page giving something away for free in exchange for potential customers information. The free gift should be something of value that potential customers may have interest in. The purpose of this squeeze page is to capture leads. Have them promote in Google Adwords Local search.
(2) Tell the business owners to ask their customers at check out to give them their name and email address for a 5% discount off their next visit. Plug those names and email address into an autoresponder. Have the autorespnder send out emails to this list at least once a week (same day every week - maybe Fridays) between the hours of 4p-8p (same time every week - whichever time of day they see the most customers) offering a 10-15% discount off total sales price if they come into the store "TODAY" with print out of email for verification.
It really doesn't matter how well their merchandise is, if they do not have a buyer's list then they are leaving money on the table. It cost more money to attract new customers than it does to get repeated customers coming back into the store to by more products!
