Community Service for the entire Firm?

I'm in the marketing department of the my firm, and would like to implement a Firm-wide community service event. I'm envisioning a 10 week campaign with a kick off party, teams etc. I've done some internet searches on finding the right charities, but I can't seem to narrow it down. Has anyone been a part of a company wide charitable event? Any suggestions will be much appreciated.
