What is a good contrast ratio for a casual use computer monitor? Watching videos, browsing internet, etc...?
I'm in the market for a good computer monitor. I'm looking at 19" monitors in the $150-180 price range. I have my eyes on a few, but this contrast ratio thing has me stumped. Obviously I want a high contrast ratio, but I don't want it to be unnecessarily high.
What sort of ratio should be sufficient?
1000:1 to 3000:1 should be fine and looks nice.
